Moshi Kids Centre situated at Tembo Road- Pasua, in Kilimanjaro is committed to caring for and teaching orphans and children facing substantial life obstacles. The objective is to offer these vulnerable children with the care they require to thrive. Through Zara Charity, these change-makers supply essential items such as school supplies, clothing, and sports equipment to ensure they have the resources necessary for a brighter future.
Young people from various backgrounds from around the world have volunteered to provide training, support services, and love and care to the children, resulting in a significant impact on the centre and, in particular, on the children and the communities from which they originate by supporting and facilitating all activities. All of these young people from America, Europe, and Asia, along with local volunteers and tourists from ZARA Tours who volunteer as part of their safari itinerary, work together to highlight the children from the broken parts of society and provide them with all the support they need to recover hope and thrive in life toward independence and resourcefulness.

For a limited time, tourists can book ZARA’s renowned tours and safaris at a $500 discount. This discount is per group of minimum 5 people and maximum 10 people, with the entire amount dedicated to charity and fundraising efforts for the construction of a new classroom for children.

Voluntary Donors and International Volunteers have by sponsoring a classroom, not just supported a building but also invested in the future of an entire generation.
A donation of $850 per year—less than $3 per day—provides a child with access to quality education, essential resources, and the chance to dream big, with the contribution directly funding:

One of the most satisfying elements of sponsorship is the personal connection created with the children whose lives a donor/volunteer improves. Sponsors receive regular updates, such as report cards and information about the child’s progress and living conditions.
As of August 2024, the Classroom Building Project is nearing the end of Phase Three thanks to the continued donations and volunteer support. The tremendous progress of the classroom building project, thanks to donor generosity and support, is nearing the end of Phase Three of construction. It is extremely inspiring to see how far giving back has resulted in the building taking shape so nicely.
So far, accomplishments include:
- The completion of foundational work, walls, and roofing.
- Key structural components are in place, and the structure is ready for finishing touches to make it completely functional.
The volunteering program, which is also part of Zara charity, includes a Teaching Volunteer Program that lasts 1-4 weeks. This allows volunteers to immerse themselves in local schools such as Moshi Kids Centre, teaching English, arts, and crafts, and creating engaging lesson plans, as well as connecting with students from various backgrounds. The volunteer fee of $380 for two weeks (room only, exclusive of meals) allows Moshi Kids Centre to continue the improvement of the children’s lives through education.
